A newly adopted client to Solitaire had her engagement ring purchased by her fiance from one of these major online jewellery websites. She went against the grain with the look and chose to use a Blue Sapphire as her solitaire stone. The web site then suggested a particular wedding band to match her engagement ring. They continued with the online jeweller and purchased the wedding band also. They got married. After all the excitement and settling in, she's realized what a mistake they made:
1) The 2 rings did not match. They where different in shape and dimension.
2) The colour was off. One ring had been rhodium plated and the other not.
3) The rings did not fit right. The finger size was wrong.
4) Shipping them back to the US for the adjustment was not worth the expense. Not covered by the company.

The wedding band was of much higher quality then the engagement ring. Not only was the engagement ring created poorly, it was aalso hollowed out from the inside.

Yes, they did come in a cool box, but past all the fancy gimmicks and high dollar website remain empty promises and disappointment.

Her unhappiness forced them to find a random jeweller to make these adjustments. After setting them back more money for repairs, they were yet again disappointed by poor workmanship from the repairs and adjustments.

Tired of Frankensteining the ring, they led themselves to search for custom jewellery. When they came to us, we suggested to recreate the entire engagement ring to match her wedding band, using her existing center stone and full credit for the now scrap gold. Having exactly what she envisioned and expected made all the extra money they spent almost "OK" for them.
